GPS Loggers
It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure downloading software and data cabling for their GPS Datalogger is available and provide suitable software to the organisers if necessary.
Radio
A working radio with frequencies 122.5, 122.7, 122.9, 126.7, 127.8, 127.4, 127.1, 121.5 must be fitted.
FLARM
A working Flarm proximity warning device must be fitted to each aircraft.
Insurance
Gliders must be insured for 3rd party and public liability in a sum of not less than $1,000,000. Any policy that does not include the GFA standard competition endorsement must include the following endorsement:
“In respect of the use of the Aircraft competing in the NSWGA comp at Lake Keepit from March 26th through to April 2nd inclusive, sanctioned by the Gliding Federation of Australia, this insurance is extended to include as jointly insured, the Gliding Federation of Australia, NSW Gliding Association Inc, the Lake Keepit Soaring Club and any individual organiser or helper acting in connection with such sanctioned gliding competition but limited to the extent of coverage and limit of liability as provided by this policy.”
I authorise the organizers of this competition to verify my insurance details with my Insurance Company.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS.
When registering you may be required to show:
- Log book with current Annual Flight Review
- Maintenance Release for the Glider.
- Copy of insurance policy competition endorsement.
- GFA membership card (both Pilots)
- Current parachute packing slip.
- Current Competitors Licence
Experience Certification
For pilots who have not competed in at least 2 national, State or NCC approved regional competitions the following certification must be provided, signed by a GFA Official Coach or a Level 2 or 3 Instructor with a minimum of 50 hours competition flying.
I certify that the pilot/s named above has/have qualifications to the following standard:
- Minimum 20 hours solo
- Silver “C” distance
- Minimum 10 aerotows
- Current flying practice
- Minimum 3 outlandings (aerodromes excluded)
- Knowledge of Rules of the Air
- Competent to join and fly with other gliders in thermals
- Competent to fly cross country
- Competent to fly competition final glides, finishes and modified circuits.
I/we acknowledge that gliding is a hazardous sport and that competition gliding involves added risks.
I hereby apply to enter the 2010 New South Wales State Championships and agree to accept these risks and abide by the New South Wales Competition Rules and any variations that may be decided by the New South Wales Competition Policy Committee circulated as Local Rules and note that in particular that if any aircraft does not meet the airworthiness requirements of these rules, entry application may be rejected.
I/we specifically agree to waive all claims against the competition organisers, the Gliding Federation of Australia, the New South Wales Gliding Association and the Lake Keepit Soaring Club Inc either by me/us or by any other person claiming through me/us or on my behalf.
In consideration of my/our being permitted to compete I/we agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the Gliding Federation of Australia, the New South Wales Gliding Association and the members thereof, the Lake Keepit Soaring Club Inc and any person or persons having the control of or assisting with the New South Wales Championships (including matters ancillary to the competition) against all or any claim or claims for willful or negligent acts or breach of duty or otherwise made upon it by me/us or any other person or persons arising directly or indirectly from my/our participation in the 2010 New South Wales State Championships.
I/we agree to become a member of the Lake Keepit Soaring Club for the duration of the competition and abide by all rules and regulations of the club.

Payment
$100.00 plus $30.00 additional for second pilot.
Subtract $50.00 for early bird discount if paid before 19th February. Entry fee includes GST and temporary membership to the Lake Keepit Soaring Club.
Cancellation Policy
Entries cancelled before 1st February will be refunded in full. Cancellations received after this and before 11th February will be refunded, less a cancellation charge of $120. Entries cancelled after this will not be refunded.
